Student Program

    Middle school girls attend two hands-on workshops, the career fair and technology hall exhibits in small groups led by two college guides, female college students at UCB.  Programs are repeated in three 50-minute sessions.

    The Gender Gaps report assesses the progress our schools have made toward equity since 1992 when the AAUW landmark report "How Schools Shortchange Girls" was issued.  Progress has been achieved in improving equitable education, but gaps still remain in technology and academic tracking.
