Student Program Outline

Girls will attend two workshops, the career fair, and will have a box lunch with their student group led by a university student.  (See more on the main page and the student registration page).

As this is the EXPANDING Your Horizons conference, it is our goal to expose girls to interesting non-traditional careers which they may not even know about.  For this reason -- and because details of some of the workshops come together at the last minute -- we don't offer the option of registering for specific workshops in the student program.  We do, however, attempt to assign girls to a workshop related to one of their interests indicated on the registration form.  The career fair portion of the program affords girls an opportunity to meet with a broad range of professional women, and we encourage girls to be prepared to engage the career fair presenters in discussions about their own interests, and how those interests may be related to the various professions being presented.
