Saturday, December 13, 2002 Holiday Brunch and Entertainment, Embassy Suites  
Saturday, January 17, 2004 "Rendezvous with a Comet," space mission at the Challenger Space Learning Center in Colorado Springs. We will become a team of scientists and engineers serving as astronauts and mission controllers on a daring exploration of comets. What may seem to be a routine exploration is sprinkled with lots of surprises and emergencies, giving us furst-hand insight into teawork, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Cost is $20.
Saturday, January 31, 2004 "Celebrating the Arts" 11 AM, Sheraton Hotel, Centennial Room. Cost of a delicious full luncheon with choice of Focaccia Encrusted Chicken Breast or File of Salmon with lemon dill sauce is $25. Reservations due January 23rd. Very special guests: Peggy and Clarence Shivers, well-known Colorado Springs philanthropists. Peggy, a vocalist, and Clarence, a sculptor, blend their talents to create events that stimulate interest in the arts and encourage contributions to their Shivers Fund that purchases books on black history, literature and biography by the Pikes Peak Library District. Branch Business: Approve by-laws creating two new Branch officers - President Elect
and Community Vice President.

Saturday, May 8, 2004 Awards Luncheon and Local Scholarship Winner. Guest Speakers: Winners of this year's Rosa Parks Award from the UCCS campus
