The Colorado Springs branch invites you to join us.  The  82nd  state convention is being held at the Crowne Plaza in Colorado Springs.
Weekend activities begin Friday evening at the Moose Lake Lodge sitting atop the Cheyenne Mtn Zoo. Festivities during the dinner include celebration of the completion of the Judith Sanderson American Fellowship

Keynote Speaker

If you only attend one event at convention, make it the Keynote Speaker Saturday morning: Dr. Robert Kraus, PhD, Sr Faculty Associate at the Center for Creative Leadership. She will speak to this year's theme: "In Pursuit of Passionate Purpose: Advocacy, Education, and Research.” She is a member of the teaching faculty for the Leadership Development Program (LDP), which focuses on the creative leader’s role in developing their potential and the potential of others.  Two of her major passions are in the areas of Resiliency for Women Leaders and Sustaining Consistent Top Performance for Effective Leadership.

Other Events

Even though you will be certain that your brain can not take in one more bit of information, our luncheon speaker will instruct us on how to “Unite and Concur:  Stop Arguing and Start Communicating with your Political Opposite”.    Meryl Runion, of SpeakStrong Inc., will revive our fervor for politics during this election year.

Other workshops throughout the day, will include “Introduction to the AAUW Leadership Module”, “Pay Equity: Why Research Says This Issue Should Matter to Women.”

Finally, Saturday Evening, after a time for social gathering, the Convention will culminate with the Annual Awards Banquet and local entertainment in the Crowne Plaza Ballroom.

We hope to see all our AAUW members and friends at our Convention. Send in your registration now for a spectacular weekend.
