Littleton-Englewood - Highline canal walk and lunch to benefit LAF.

AAUW Rocky Mountain Regional Conference in Aurora, CO

Gunnison - July - annual Art in the Park, Legion Park, East Tomichi, Gunnison.  Fine original arts and crafts sale; juried show.  To benefit scholarships for nontraditional students at Western State College and AAUW Educational Foundation.  Food by Gunnison Literacy Action Program; entertainment.

Aug  

Douglas County - August "Tunes & Tacos" fundraiser is coordinated with a local restaurant which provides the food and staff. The event is open to the public and provides music, food,beverages, and a silent auction. The funds raised are used for scholarships for local women attending college and awards to high school senior girls who excel in math, science and technology.

Foothills - First half of August
Foothills Branch is taking orders for wonderful Elberta peaches which come directly to us from the Western Slope. Those who order will be notified of the exact date by phone.

Fall Leadership Conference in Frisco at the Holiday Inn of Summit County

Foothills - Sept 19, 9:30-12:00
40th year anniversary celebration begins with a kickoff brunch and program at the Meridian Westland. 10695 West 17th Avenue, Lakewood.  Brunch followed by the program "Polly Pry, Denver Sob Sister."  Debra Faulkner, Metro State College professor and historian for the Brown Palace Hotel, will portray Polly, muckraking turn of the century journalist for the Denver Post.    For more information and to make reservations call 303-423-9435 or bflaten@msn.com

Littleton-Englewood - The Head Start Bookbag project runs from September through May.  The branch cooperates with Sheridan Head Start to provide a library of books for preschoolers to take home to enjoy with their families each week.

Local Scholarship Luncheon at Carrabbas(on Abilene in Aurora). Tickets are $15.00 and are available from Board members and at the door.

Denver - All branches are invited to participate in the Denver Branch Holiday Event at Saks Fifth Avenue on December 13th from 10-5. AAUW members  will be given AAUW special coupons for free make up tips and facial with a celebrity makeup artist,
drinks, and special snacks
 
It will be a great time. 

Pueblo - Christmas brunch with Delta Kappa Gamma International. Donate books to The Children's Advocay Center.

Boulder - Holiday brunch followed by a fashion show to benefit EF.
