AAUW Growing on Facebook
Colorado AAUW has a growing presence on Facebook, a social networking website that is free for you to join at www.facebook.com. Our specific Facebook page is called AAUW Colorado, and it is open to all AAUW members in Colorado, as well as non-member Coloradans who support the AAUW mission.

This Facebook group has become an effective informational and member recruitment tool.
TO JOIN FACEBOOK
If you would like to join this online group, you must create a profile:
- Open your browser, such as Internet Explorer, and enter
www.facebook.com
as the address at the top.
- Fill in the info as requested and click SUBMIT. You can decline all of the offers to connect to others or enter info. Just click Continue...
Now you have a Facebook account. Be sure to write down your password that you used.
To make your birthday invisible:
- Click Home if you are not on the Welcome page.
- Click View and Edit Your Profile
- Under Birthday, click the arrow to the right and click Don't show...
- You can add any additional information you want, but remember that information is available to anyone on the Internet.
- Click Save Changes.
To join AAUW Colorado:
- Click Home in the top menu if you are not on the Welcome page.
- Below Find people you know... type AAUW Colorado and hit the Enter key.
- Then click Page on the left side and join AAUW Colorado.
If you are having trouble finding the page once you have created your profile, then you can email Amy Blackwell at ae_blackwell@yahoo.com and request an invitation to the AAUW Colorado page.
One nice feature of Facebook, beyond the AAUW Colorado page, is the ability to interact with AAUW members nationwide. Many, many of our colleagues have Facebook profiles! Additionally, AAUW has an official Facebook page.
AAUW has advocated for women for 126 years!
